How to recognise it
This sign is a wide rectangle in blue, used only for motorist services. Blue for motorist services such as fuel, food, lodging and hospitals. Brown for parks, recreation and cultural sites. Neither colour is ever used for a rule.
What the test wants you to know
Rest area questions usually appear alongside fatigue questions. The examiner wants the answer that stopping to sleep beats coffee, fresh air or loud music.
Practise it
Reading about a sign is not the same as recognising it in half a second with an examiner watching. Every state road signs test on this site shows the sign and asks you to name it, then shows four faces and asks you to pick the right one.
