Food sign
There are restaurants at the next exit, anything from a drive through window to a sit down dining room.
Often paired with a separate panel listing specific restaurant names or logos just past the main services sign.
How to recognise it
This sign is a square in blue, used only for motorist services. Blue for motorist services such as fuel, food, lodging and hospitals. Brown for parks, recreation and cultural sites. Neither colour is ever used for a rule.
What the test wants you to know
This sign and the gas sign get confused on picture based tests mostly because they sit on the same blue panel, not because they look alike. Learn the fork and knife against the fuel pump directly rather than relying on where each icon usually sits.
Practise it
Reading about a sign is not the same as recognising it in half a second with an examiner watching. Every state road signs test on this site shows the sign and asks you to name it, then shows four faces and asks you to pick the right one.
