Arizona CDL practice tests
Arizona charges exactly half as much for a Class C application and skills test as it does for Class A or B, and it keeps skills testing off the general MVD counter entirely, running it only through a short list of designated CDL offices or through examiners certified under its own testing program.
The written exams themselves are federal. Arizona decides the permit rules, the fees and who runs the skills test, but the knowledge you are tested on comes from 49 CFR Part 383 and is the same in every state, which is why the 145 questions here work wherever you apply.

Commercial learner permit
An Arizona commercial learner's permit must be held at least 14 days before the CDL skills test, and the permit is valid for a maximum of 12 months.

Fees
A Class A or B commercial learner's permit or CDL application costs $25, a Class C application costs $12.50, and the road skills test is charged again at the same rate by class.

Where you test
The knowledge test can be taken at any MVD office, while the skills test is given by appointment at a set of designated MVD CDL offices or by an examiner certified through MVD's Commercial Driver License Examination Program.
