What the questions cover
Everything comes back to the Oklahoma Statutes Title 47, Motor Vehicles, with driver licensing in Chapter 6: signals and signs, right of way, speed rules, passing and lane use, parking, alcohol limits, and the licensing rules for new drivers. Multiple choice, one correct answer each.

Service Oklahoma states that the written knowledge test runs to 20 questions on traffic laws, road signs and safe driving, all drawn from the Oklahoma Driver Manual, with 60 minutes to work through them and the result shown as soon as you finish. Fifteen correct passes, which is 75 percent, so five misses are survivable and a sixth is not. You can sit it at 15 if you are enrolled in and receiving instruction in an approved Service Oklahoma driver education course, or at 16 without driver education, and passing it is the step that leads to the learner permit.

Oklahoma prices failure separately from the exam. There is no charge for online testing itself, but $4.00 is added to your account for each failed written test and collected when you finally pass, alongside the $42.50 fee to print and issue the learner permit. The Oklahoma Driver Manual adds that by law you wait at least one day before retesting. Only two attempts may be taken online, and the at home version needs a computer with a front facing camera and a microphone in a quiet room, because phones and tablets are not supported. After two online failures the remaining attempts have to be made in person at a Service Oklahoma location or at a Career Tech testing center, which charges $25.00 extra. In person attempts are otherwise unlimited.
