The format on file, and what is confirmed
Montana writes the exact grading formula for its motorcycle written exam into its own administrative rule, docking five points for every wrong answer off a 100-point scale rather than leaving the math to an outside testing vendor.

Does a course skip the test?
Completing a Montana-approved MSF Basic Rider Course waives the skills (driving) test; the written knowledge test is still required
