T intersection: the rule
The rule
When two vehicles enter an unsigned T intersection at the same time, the driver on the road that ends yields to traffic on the continuing road.
The reasoning
The terminating road is the one joining, so its driver yields when both vehicles enter together. This applies even where nothing is posted.
The usual mistake
Assuming the right hand rule applies here too. It does not. The road layout settles it before the right hand rule ever gets a chance.
